Details of Lakeview House
Lakeview House, as we call our property, is in one of the newest developments in Olrando/Kissimee, having been completed towards the end of last year, and as such is in stunning condition.
Your 'gated community'
This is what Americans call our property complex. What this means it that a small and exclusive number of properties are contained within a walled area making them totally private from the outside world and the only way to gain access is through the electrically operated gates at the main entrance. When entering the 'community' just drive up to the keypad, punch in your security code and the gates will open to allow you in. (It looks very impressive!). This type of property means that it is very very safe for children. You will only see your neighbours there and most, probably like you, will be out for much of the day meaning it is also very calm and peaceful.
Room for eight!
The property itself has three bedrooms, two with double beds and en suite bathrooms and one with two single beds. The Games room has a futon which can sleep two people and in the main living area there is a large sofa bed. As with the rest of the property the bedrooms are large and one even features a huge walk-in cupboard!
Games room
A great place to keep the kids, both young and old(!), happy. This room contains table football, or 'Foozball' as the Americans call it, a TV with DVD player and Playstation 2 games console plus a range of board games. Enough to keep everyone happy and also, if you have younger children, the opportunity to keep them close by.
The Spa Pool
No need to share with anyone else, the property has its very own spa pool for you to relax in, Warm water bubbles around you while you sit and enjoy a beautiful view over the lake, either day or night. And, importantly, an insect cover keeps the entire area at the back of the property free from insects.
Air conditioning
It is hot in Florida and air con is an absolute must! Our property has the latest and one of the most powerful air conditioning units fitted to any such property and will ensure you can keep you cool inside.
Parking
Have you ever stayed somewhere that has a huge car park (they are all huge in the US!) and had a 5 minute walk, carrying all your bags, just to get to where you stay? With children this is even more or a burden. Fortunately at the property you have your own driveway, big enough for two cars, so that you are right outside your own front door.
Kitchen area
Like getting the pots and pans out? Well there is a superb kitchen with a massive fridge freezer, huge microwave and oven etc. everything you need to create the 'full-on' Ramsay atmosphere.
Internet access
If you really feel the need to keep in touch with the world wide web you can find, in the main living area, an internet access point. If you prefer the main building also has a business centre with computers that have full access to the world wide web.
The main complex!
As you drive in you will see this building which is about 30 seconds walk away from the property. Inside you will find a 25 seater cinema with large, plush leather seats, a main seating/relaxing area with widescreen TV, a business centre with multiple computers and, outside the main swimming pool with a paddling pool and Jacuzzi too!
Reception/security
Opposite the main complex you will find the main reception and security building. If you have any questions, require any help or just want to browse through the leaflets to help you to decide what to do this is the place to visit. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Local amenities
Two minutes drive away you will find a huge Walmart which, predictably, sells everything you could ever imagine. Two minutes in the other direction you can find major places to eat and shop whilst a little further afield you will find larger shopping centres.
Car hire
TOP TIP: You can now hire sat nav systems for approx $5 a pay (£2.50). These are absolutely invaluable and will save you so much time!
